This article refers to Hemp Based Cannabidiol CBD

Cannabidiol CBD is just one of the cannabinoids of the Cannabis Sativa plants. CBD (it’s just easier to say CBD than cannabidiol) makes up about 40% of the cannabis hemp plant, along with about 100 other cannabinoids. CBD Products are either FULL SPECTRUM, using the whole hemp plant, which works in a synergistic way in the body. Full spectrum CBD uses all the cannabinoids (more than just cannabidiol) and is often referred to as “CBD Oil”. There is also an extraction of just pure cannabidiol a.k.a an ISOLATE.

What is Cannabidiol CBD?

The chemical compound CBD has a relaxing effect when ingested into the body. This is not to be confused with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) which is psychoactive and gives many people the ““high” associated with smoking marijuana. CTFO CBD is made from Hemp, a genus of Cannabis, not marijuana or medical marijuana. While full spectrum CBD products from hemp may contain trace amounts of THC, it will not cause intoxication. The benefits of CBD are vast including helping to improve the immune system, reduce inflammation in the body, anxiety relief, pain relief, help with seizures and more without any known side effects.

Properties of CBD

CBD has been the study of much research. A medically manufactured CBD drug was recently approved (2018) by the FDA for the treatment of epilepsy. CBD also shows promising for those with multiple sclerosis. Some of the properties of CBD include: anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, antipsychotic and antiemetic. It helps with nausea & vomiting (especially for those undergoing chemotherapy), helps control blood sugar in diabetics or people who are pre-diabetes, helps with chronic pain, arthritis, treating epilepsy, ADD, ADHD, autism, dementia, psychosis and a multitude of anxiety disorders including PTSD.

How to Use CBD

There are a wide variety of CBD Hemp Oil products. CTFO CBD offers CBD oil, a tincture that can be placed under the tongue for fast absorption into the bloodstream. The tincture or oil can also be infused into food or drink. CTFO also makes several formulations of CBD oral sprays to help with anxiety, pain and even to decrease the appetite. CBD oil can be used topically on the skin, which is why it is used in muscle rubs and creams.
